How we rank

Every one of these stock photo and video sites is scored on the same 7 weighted criteria (scorecard v1), from the vendor's published data. 1 of the 3 listed has enough verified data to be ranked; a tool with under 60% of the weight covered is listed but not ranked. Nobody gets custom weights, including our own products.

Methodology

Heaviest criteria

Entry price · Core25%
Price per month of the cheapest paid plan, against the prices of other stock photo and video sites on the same billing basis (monthly-billed prices against monthly, annual-billed against annual).
Free plan or trial · Core15%
Whether you can use the tool before paying: a free plan, or failing that a free trial, as shown on the vendor's pricing page.
Verified features · Core15%
How many of the 5 features we track for this category the vendor's own pages verifiably show (stock video, ai image or video generation, commercial use covered, extended licence available, free assets). This counts verified features only: a tool that documents less scores lower here, and only here.
Library size · Category15%
Number of assets the vendor says it offers.
Pricing transparency · Core10%
How much of the pricing is public: the share of plans with a published price ("contact sales" counts against), and whether there are at least 3 published tiers.
