AI Video Generators for Social Media: Credits, Limits and Watermarks

AI video generators for social media ranked on one scorecard: free plans, credit allowances, watermark removal, languages, avatars and platform support, dated.

By Updated Data checked through 6 min read

Choosing an AI video generator for social media comes down to the meter, meaning the credit or minute allowance and whether paid plans remove the watermark. Vidnoz leads the AI video category with 98 out of 100, ahead of Fliki, and what separates them is languages: 135 languages against 80 languages.

What social video buyers should check first

Vendors ration video generation with credits, minutes or a cap on the number of videos. A low monthly price can still run out in a day if your clips are long or you re-run them. The three things to read before you pay are the monthly allowance, whether the watermark comes off on a paid plan and whether the tool names the platforms you post to.

Nothing here tells you which tool makes the best-looking clip. That depends on your prompts and your taste. What the data can do is rule tools out on cost, limits and features, so you spend your trial time on a short list. If you are choosing for a single network, the category also has narrower pages such as AI video for TikTok, AI video for Instagram and AI video for YouTube.

How we picked

Every AI video tool is scored on the same criteria. Beyond the core criteria of entry price, free access, price transparency, feature breadth and openness, this scorecard adds languages, stock avatars and the cost per video minute where a vendor states minutes. Read the methodology for how each is computed and what happens when a tool has no data for one of them.

Every one of the 157 AI video generators we looked at is scored by the same 8 criteria (scorecard version 2), each from the vendor's own pricing page, docs or changelog. 124 had enough verified data to be ranked. A criterion without verified data is left out and the remaining weights are re-normalised; under 60% of the weight covered means the tool is not ranked.

Scorecard criteria, weights and what each measures
CriterionWeightTypeWhat we measure and how
Entry price25%CorePrice per month of the cheapest paid plan, against the prices of other AI video generators on the same billing basis (monthly-billed prices against monthly, annual-billed against annual).Formula: Log scale. Billed monthly: $9/month or less = 100, $39 or more = 0. Only billed annually: $4.50/month or less = 100, $25 or more = 0. Only free plans = 100. Usage-priced and one-time plans are not scored.
Free plan or trial15%CoreWhether you can use the tool before paying: a free plan, or failing that a free trial, as shown on the vendor's pricing page.Formula: Free plan = 100. No free plan but a free trial = 60. The pricing page lists plans but shows neither = 0. No plans read = not scored.
Pricing transparency10%CoreHow much of the pricing is public: the share of plans with a published price ("contact sales" counts against), and whether there are at least 3 published tiers.Formula: 80 x (plans with a public price / plans listed) + 20 x (public plans, up to 3) / 3. No plans read = not scored.
Verified features15%CoreHow many of the 8 features we track for this category the vendor's own pages verifiably show (text to video, ai avatars, voice cloning, automatic captions, ai dubbing / translation, 4k export, no watermark on paid plans, brand kit). This counts verified features only: a tool that documents less scores lower here, and only here.Formula: Linear: verified features / 4 (half the tracked list) x 100, capped at 100. No tracked feature verified = not scored.
API, integrations and export10%CoreWhether a public API exists, how many integrations the vendor states, and whether the vendor documents a way to export your data.Formula: Average of the parts with data: public API yes = 100, no = 0; integrations on a log scale (50 or more = 100); a documented data export = 100. None verified = not scored.
Cost per video minute10%CategoryPrice per video minute on the cheapest paid plan that states a monthly minutes limit (monthly price / allowance).Formula: Log scale: $0.50 per video minute or less = 100, $10 or more = 0. Unlimited or unstated allowances = not scored.
Languages10%CategoryNumber of languages the vendor says it offers.Formula: Linear scale: 100 or more = 100. No stated count = not scored.
Avatar library5%CategoryNumber of stock avatars the vendor says it offers.Formula: Linear scale: 200 or more = 100. No stated count = not scored.

The ranking

Read the order as a score of price, openness and features, not of picture quality. A tool that scores well on languages and avatars suits talking-head and explainer clips, while a score built on price alone says little about generated footage.

Each value links the vendor page it was read from (hover for the check date). Coverage is the share of the scorecard's weight with verified data, and "N of M criteria" how many criteria the score is based on; a tool is ranked at 60% or more.

Score is 0 to 100 on the category scorecard; coverage is the share of scorecard weight with verified data. Prices are list prices in US dollars from each vendor's pricing page; the Checked column is the newest date any fact of that tool was verified. 33 listed without a score because under 60% of the weight has verified data. Vidnoz has the highest score on both languages and stock avatars: 135 languages and 1,900 stock avatars. That makes it a fit for spoken clips you want in several markets, with a presenter on screen and no filming. The free plan is listed, but the catalogue holds no paid plan price, so you cannot see what removing the watermark would cost.

That missing price is the main reason to be careful. The catalogue shows no watermark on paid plans as Yes but lists no paid price, so open the vendor's pricing page and find that plan before you commit.

The Vidnoz profile shows every verified feature.

Fliki turns scripts and text into narrated videos with a stock library and templates, so it suits people who start from writing rather than footage. It names Instagram, TikTok, YouTube as platforms. Its free plan lists 3 credits per month, which is enough to try one idea and little more.

Fliki's strengths are on the voice side: 2000 voices and 80 languages. The catalogue holds no paid price for it, so as with Vidnoz, the paid step has to be read from the vendor page.

OpenCreative is the clearest ladder of paid plans in this group, with the credit allowance and price on one line per tier. Starter is $9 per month with 250 credits per month. Creator is $19 per month for 750, and Studio is $99 per month for 4000 and 5 users.

Each tier lists its credits next to its price, so you can see where the next plan stops being worth it. It suits small teams that post often and want brand kit and team access without a custom quote.

MakeAIVideo is the only tool in this group that ties its plans to connected social accounts. The Lite plan is $9 per month ($8 per month, billed annually) with 600 credits per month and 2 social accounts, and it lists Instagram, TikTok, YouTube as platforms. Solo adds accounts and credits at $19 per month.

There is no free plan, only a trial, so you need to be ready to test quickly. It fits a creator who posts to a few accounts and wants captions and avatars included.

Pika generates clips from prompts and also does images and inpainting, so it is a creative-clip tool more than a presenter tool, and the catalogue verifies no avatars for it. It has a free plan (Yes) and a first paid plan, Starter, at $10 per month with 900 credits per month. The price is $8 per month, billed annually if you pay yearly.

The credit pool grows quickly, with 3150 credits per month at $35 per month, but the catalogue does not say how many seconds a credit makes, so test a few clips before you size a plan.

  • Free plan: Yes; no watermark on paid plans: Yes.

Koe is a video tool built around captions and templates, with 4K export verified (Yes), which is not among the verified features of the other tools in this post. Its first paid plan, Hobby, is $12 per month with 800 credits per month, and it has a free plan (Yes). Larger plans are priced up to $600 per month.

That ladder suits a creator who may grow into a small studio. It is a weaker fit for someone who wants a presenter or voice clone, because the catalogue verifies neither for it.

The Koe profile lists the team plans.

Who should not pick it

Skip a tool when a verified fact rules it out:

  • If you need a free plan, skip MakeAIVideo: its free plan is listed as No, with a 7-day free trial instead.
  • If you need to budget from the catalogue, skip Vidnoz and Fliki for now: neither shows a paid price here, only a Free plan for the first and a free plan of 3 credits per month for the second.
  • If you want to run an account on a free plan, skip Fliki: its free allowance is 3 credits per month.
  • If more than one person edits, check the user limit first: the entry plan of MakeAIVideo lists 1 user.
  • If you need a plan for a larger team, check user limits before credits: OpenCreative Studio lists 5 users at $99 per month.

What we did not test

We did not use any of these tools. Everything above is read from vendor pages and scored by code, so it shows what a vendor publishes and charges. It does not show how natural an avatar looks, how well a generated clip matches a prompt, how long a render takes, whether the credits last as long as you hope or how good support is. It also holds no verified conversion from credits to seconds of video, which is the number most buyers want. Try the free plan or trial with your own script first. For the full list of what we leave out, see what we do not test.

– = not published by the vendor, or not verified yet.

Frequently asked questions

Do AI video generators put a watermark on free videos?

The catalogue records watermark removal as a paid-plan feature. It reads Yes for Vidnoz and Yes for Pika, which means paid plans remove it. It does not describe the free plans, so generate one video and check before you build a workflow on it.

How many videos does a credit make?

It depends on the tool, and the catalogue holds no verified conversion from credits to seconds of video. OpenCreative lists 250 credits per month on Starter for $9 per month, and MakeAIVideo lists 600 credits per month on Lite for $9 per month. Do not compare those two numbers directly.

Is there a free AI video generator for social media?

Several list a free plan. Pika shows Yes, Koe shows Yes and Fliki lists a free plan of 3 credits per month. Free allowances are small, so treat them as a way to test output quality, not to run an account.

Which tools list Instagram, TikTok and YouTube support?

Fliki lists Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and MakeAIVideo lists Instagram, TikTok, YouTube on their vendor pages. Platform support in this catalogue means the vendor names the platform, not that the tool publishes to it for you.

Which of the AI video generators ranks first on SaaSHunter?

Vidnoz has the highest score, 98 out of 100, among the 124 AI video generators with enough verified data to be ranked. Its facts were last checked Oct 14, 2026. Scores are computed from the published scorecard and change when the underlying facts change.

Which AI video generators have a free plan?

50 of the 124 ranked AI video generators list a free plan: Vidnoz, Fliki, OpenCreative, Idea to Motion, Orelon, mlx-serve, Koe, Genmo, Opus Clip, Pika, Scribix, Integrous, Verbatik AI, Runway, Geneso.ai, Krea, Pixlr, FlexClip, Brainrot.mov, Vidmoat, LoraAI, Blog2Video, Steve AI, VEED, KreatorFlow AI, Orkas-VideoStudio, HeyGen, Awesome-GPT4o-Image-Prompts, Synthesia, Reap, ReelPilot, Descript, Viibeo, Gling, Fish Audio, Captions, Elai, Viraloop, Kairval, Nanoart, pireel, awesome-gpt-image-2-5-prompts, VClip, Rask AI, AI-Faceless-Video-Generator, Colossyan, Wisecut, Remix Mart, Creetr, palmier-pro. What the free plan allows differs, so check the limits column before choosing.

What is the lowest starting price among AI video generators?

Among the ranked AI video generators, Pixlr has the lowest paid starting price at $2.49 per month. Tools charge per seat, per connected account or per workspace, so the units differ and the lowest sticker price is not always the lowest bill for your setup.

How are the AI video generators scored?

Each tool is scored from 0 to 100 on 8 weighted criteria taken from the same scorecard for every tool: entry price, free plan or trial, pricing transparency, verified features, api, integrations and export, cost per video minute, languages, avatar library. Criteria without verified data are left out and the weights re-normalised; a tool with under 60% of the weight covered is listed as not ranked.
